What is the first thing most people do after waking up?
They look at their phone. Even though, they know, it's not good for them.
Immediately messages flood in, we are confronted with heartbreaking and sad news and our cortisol levels already spike - first thing in the morning.
It’s very difficult to change this habit of looking at your phone in the morning. So: At least, the first thing you see and do, should be something that gives you a sense of calm and happiness.
And that's exactly what the Happy Rising-App does:
Every morning you unlock a short ritual: From questions about how you are feeling, to Breathwork-Exercises, to Affirmations and little Acts of Kindness. Doing these rituals daily and consistently, will help calm down your nervous system and lets you start you day with peace of mind.
ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Sophie and I'm the founder of Happy Rising.
Life as we know it, has never been so busy and expectations in every aspect are higher than ever.
Especially after my daughter was born, I felt the pressure to get "back to normal" as quickly as possible. Even though I felt overwhelmed.
In the evenings I was usually overstimulated. Whenever possible I did some mediations or journaling. But I still felt like, something had to change. I didn't want to feel this way every evening.
I realized, I had to start in the morning. And with a job, a family and a dog, it had to be something short. It had to be something, that didn't contribute to my mental load and take a lot of time.
That's how the idea of Happy Rising was born.
